USTA (United States Tennis Association)
Jared Klose(MPH Social Studies) won Tennis High School Coach of the year. Pat Sutton(MPH Math teacher) won Tennis Teaching Professional of the Year. Kristyn Baker (Claymont Elementary PE Teacher) won the Delaware Net Generation Award (this is for including tennis into the PE curriculum). Matt Farina won the sectional Net Generation award (this encompasses many states). Ed Burks ( Dean at Claymont)won USTA Family of the Year (along with his wife Stephanie and son Alex, a senior at MPH). Finally Ed Burks and Jared Klose won an award together for Outstanding Tennis Program- Delaware Junior Team Tennis. BSD is doing some great things in the tennis world!
